Lead developer

Eligibility:

Science / Engineering graduate

Responsibility:

Meeting requirements:

Participate in requested JAD sessions (JDA) and support documents, if necessary JAD (business, functional, technical, UI, utility, data, compliance, data migration, NFR, third party tools and products).
Get queries and get query resolution on areas that are obscure, obscure, and require technology information.
Project Estimation:

‘Understand how work-level estimates (effort, size, etc.) are made in the relevant workplace, measure and report actual efforts against estimated efforts, and ensure task progressing reporting in C20 or any other applicable tool.
Capacity development:

Design and Analysis:

‘Create HL design and detailed design documentation with architect’s support for the assigned area.

Study design requirements for non-essential operating requirements and NFR.
Understand the interdependence of the various components in which work packages are being developed.
Create a detailed design and assign a developer.
Provide input to the project manager / technical lead to create a project plan from a technical point of view.
Support the development of concept proofs as designed by the Designer / Solution Architect.
Initiate development environment setup.
Give customers a demo for quick feedback.
Create quality inspection points for all deliveries.

Coding:

‘Tire coding, business layer coding, interface development, service development, storage processing etc. Applicable for work package / project.
Specific rules, guidelines and best practise codes for CTS and customers.
Understand database concepts and write efficient queries.
Explain the content / issues / concerns of the work at the forefront.
Get occasional reviews from peers / technical leads.
Participate in setup work to establish the required environment.
Deploy code build in test environment.
Review the peers during design, coding and testing.
Complete documentation according to scope.
Create guidelines and checklists for development and testing activities.
Give feedback to the design team.
Share feedback with developers to check if the code is as required.
Include changes according to feedback.
Provide the supervisor/technical lead with essential and timely status updates.
Highlight any potential risks with leads.
Update the traceability matrix developed for the working package.
Guide developers to help solve technical problems during coding.
Follow the SCM policies set for the project.
Keep work explanations / issues / concerns at the forefront in a timely manner.
Provide the supervisor/technical lead with essential and timely status updates.
Effectively highlight any potential threats to the front.
Provide support for process audit activities.
Follow procedures and tools (use of Cognizant 20, awareness of quality management system).

Test:

‘Create unit testing cases and unit test plans.
Take a comprehensive unit test.
Create a unit test log.
Create and support unit test strategies.
Plan documents and data requirements.
Automate unit testing and contribute to unit test automation.
Peer review of unit test cases.
Test developer integration by combining components.
Review test cases as developed by the developer.
Fault management:

Participate in defective triad meetings.
Conduct RCAs for identified defects.
Work on code based on review reviews / defects in code present / peer testing, SIT, UAT testing or any other related test phase.
Assist in the transition of knowledge and support the organization with any flaws that increase post production as needed.
Process improvements and compliance:

Attend innovation sessions.
Implement process improvements to reduce manual interference (e.g. automation).
Process audit activity support.
Generate ideas to provide value and share the same with technical leads.
Follow procedures and tools (use of Cognizant 20, quality management system awareness, IDE etc.).

Knowledge management:

Assistance upgrade knowledge properties, user manuals, documentation online help, installation manuals / scripts.
Carry out transfers of know-how for new project team joiners.
Get training through academy (if approved)
Guides and junior members of the guidance team from a technical point of view to ensure quality delivery of components.
Contribute / search / reuse all types of assets from the store.

Public Management:

Engage with the team.
Team Resolution / Conflict Management.
Take in-house training for team developers.
